The following is a list of rules, guidelines, and disqualifying factors we abide by while reviewing and judging your web site. They have been broken down into separate categories for easy understanding and access.

Submitter should be the webmaster.
If I find that the submitter of the application is not the webmaster of the site, I cannot grant them my award.

Submitter should be over age of 14.
To comply with COPPA regulations, an applicant is required to be over the age of 14 to apply for and receive my award.

Copyrights should be properly noted and credits given.
For original content a copyright statement like "(c) Your Name 2002" will do fine. More importantly, sites containing unoriginal content or graphics should properly note all necessary copyrights and permissions pertaining to those items.

Privacy policies and other legal policies should be properly noted.
Sites that could potentially obtain information from their users (Through contact forms, guest books, etc) should contain appropriate privacy policies and details when ever necessary.

Site contents should be child-safe and family friendly.
Sites must not contain or condone illegal activities, nudity, pornography or sexual material, violence or hate, gambling, or any otherwise offensive content. This also includes links to such sites.

Additional notes: If you are unsure of whether or not your website's content falls into the category of "offensive" content, you are welcome send me a courtesy e-mail at prior to the application, with your name, website URL, and website details. I will let you know then if your site is acceptable for my award.

The site should not contain unnecessary downloads, registrations, or requests.
I should not be required to download unusual or outdated software to view certain areas of your site or to operate design/navigational areas, nor should the majority of content be unavailable to guests due to registration requirements.

The site should not be incomplete or contain under construction areas.
I realize that all sites are constantly under construction, but I cannot continue my review if certain areas of the site are inaccessible or incomplete.

The site should not contain broken images or links.
Sites should not contain any broken internal images or links. I do allow room for error and require that a site contains no more than 2 broken external images or links throughout the entire site.

The site should contain a place to display awards.
This page should be cleanly designed and easily accessible from the site menu. This shows you care and display your awards proudly.
