Disqualifiers

The site should contain at least 5 pages of original content.
This does not include guest books, forums, chat rooms, about me pages, link pages,
membership pages, or awards pages.
The site should be written in English and contain proper spelling and
grammar.
Because English is the only language I know, I am not qualified to evaluate non-English
websites. In regards to spelling and grammar, the majority of textual content
should be free from obvious or excessive spelling and grammar errors.
The site should be personal, informational, or non-profit.
I am not currently accepting applications from commercial/business sites, fan
sites, blogs, or forums. I do, however, except applications from artists or craftsman
selling their own original works.
The site should have a consistent theme and a clear purpose.
The site should have relevant content and a consistent feel throughout. Sites
should not contain such a large variety of miscellaneous subjects that I'm not
sure what the site is about. Purpose and introduction statements are also vital
to a better understanding and a comfortable entrance.
The site should be free from automatic pop-ups and excessive advertisements.
Site should not contain uncontrolled pop-ups of any kind. Advertisements forced
by providers are understood, but other advertisements should be kept to a minimum
and not get in the way of my viewing experience.
If a site includes background music, there should be a way to turn it
off.
Not everyone likes to listen to music while surfing the web (Or prefers to listen
to their own music instead), so it is always nice to provide the user with means
to turn it off while they are on your site.
